Throughout my 7 years as a Wedding Photographer I’ve learned a thing or two that I wish I would have known when I was planning my wedding. If you’d like to learn tips & tricks, see real weddings, and sessions then this blog is for you! I hope this can be a tool for all my couples and anyone searching for wedding inspiration.
If you’re planning a Spokane wedding and you want a day that feels more like an epic party than a formal affair, this is the one to look at. Maddy and Scott brought nonstop energy, big laughs, and some of the best dance moves I’ve ever seen to their wedding at The Barn on Wild Rose Prairie—and photographing it was a total joy from start to finish.
Located just outside Spokane, The Barn on Wild Rose Prairie is the kind of venue that mixes rustic charm with a wide-open layout perfect for celebrating. It has all the farmhouse character you’d hope for—weathered wood, wide fields, and space to spread out—but it’s also polished and easy to work in as a photographer.
We started the day with a warm summer breeze and good vibes all around. Maddy was cracking jokes while getting ready, and Scott kept everyone laughing with his perfectly timed one-liners. From the first look to the last song, this wedding never lost its spark.
Every detail came together thanks to a solid team of Spokane wedding vendors:
Everything ran smoothly thanks to Driftwood Point Events, who handled the timeline and details behind the scenes so Maddy and Scott could stay fully in the moment. The team at De Leon’s brought amazing food and a laid-back vibe that perfectly matched the couple’s energy. And when Imagine Events turned up the volume, the dance floor exploded.
Let’s talk about that dance floor for a second: Maddy might be one of the most joyful brides I’ve ever photographed. She owned that dance floor from the moment it opened, dragging friends and family in with her, laughing the whole time. Scott held his own too—but let’s be honest, Maddy was the MVP.
And just when everyone thought it couldn’t get better—Nothing Bundt Cakes appeared with the cutest display of bundtinis and a signature cake that vanished almost immediately.
If you’re planning a Spokane wedding and want it to feel like a celebration of everything you love—your people, good food, a packed dance floor—The Barn on Wild Rose Prairie is a beautiful place to do it. And if you’re looking for a photographer who can capture the real moments (the laughter, the silliness, and everything in between), I’d love to be there for it.
