Throughout my 7 years as a Wedding Photographer I’ve learned a thing or two that I wish I would have known when I was planning my wedding. If you’d like to learn tips & tricks, see real weddings, and sessions then this blog is for you! I hope this can be a tool for all my couples and anyone searching for wedding inspiration.
If you’re planning a Spokane wedding, Beacon Hill Events should definitely be on your list. With its sweeping views of the city, perfectly manicured gardens, and warm, welcoming atmosphere, it’s one of my favorite Spokane wedding venues. I had the joy of photographing Kalleigh and Sean’s summer wedding at Beacon Hill, and it was a day full of sunshine, laughter, and a few unforgettable surprises.
The day started with Kalleigh and her crew getting ready in Beacon Hill’s bright, airy prep suite. From the moment I walked in, there was an energy of calm excitement—everyone was relaxed, smiling, and fully present. One of the things I love about this venue is how it allows for a smooth, low-stress start to the day.
The couple exchanged vows on the lawn overlooking Spokane’s skyline. It was one of those golden July evenings where everything feels still and glowing. The ceremony was heartfelt and simple, with a gentle breeze moving through the trees and happy tears all around.
Afterward, we took advantage of the lush gardens and soft sunset light for portraits. Beacon Hill really shines this time of year—everything was blooming and green, with plenty of quiet corners to sneak away for some photos without missing too much of the party.
Once dinner and toasts wrapped up, the reception kicked into full swing—and this is where Kalleigh and Sean’s wedding really came alive. After their first dances, their families surprised them with a full-on flash mob, choreographed and timed perfectly to get everyone on their feet. It was such a fun, unexpected moment—and their reactions were priceless.
But Kalleigh might’ve stolen the show anyway. Her moves on the dance floor were unmatched. I photograph a lot of Spokane weddings, and let me tell you—she brought the energy.
As a Spokane wedding photographer, I always appreciate venues that are both beautiful and easy to work in. Beacon Hill has incredible light, a thoughtful layout, and an experienced team that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. That means more time for my couples to actually enjoy their wedding day—which is exactly what Kalleigh and Sean did.
If you’re planning a Spokane wedding and looking for a venue that blends elegance with ease, Beacon Hill is a top-tier option. And if you’re searching for a photographer who can capture your day without making it feel like a production, I’d love to chat. Whether you’re planning something big or keeping it more intimate, I’m here to document it in a way that feels honest, relaxed, and true to you.
