Throughout my 7 years as a Wedding Photographer I’ve learned a thing or two that I wish I would have known when I was planning my wedding. If you’d like to learn tips & tricks, see real weddings, and sessions then this blog is for you! I hope this can be a tool for all my couples and anyone searching for wedding inspiration.
Zili and Logan met at WSU sophomore year through a mutual friend — each quietly deciding the other was nice and weird in a good way. Seven years later they’re getting married a few miles from where they first crossed paths. Logan proposed at the overlook in Browne’s Addition, the first neighborhood they shared after moving to Spokane. Zili didn’t expect to cry but absolutely did. Palouse Ridge is the venue because eastern Washington has become home. Those rolling hills are a backdrop they’ve been falling for ever since. They’re most looking forward to getting married, eating a humble burger, and having every person they love in one place — in roughly that order.

Palouse Ridge sits on a hilltop just outside Spangle. It looks out across the rolling agricultural quilt that gives the Palouse region its name. It’s a venue that doesn’t need a lot of decoration to feel like an event — the landscape carries most of the visual weight. This is especially true at golden hour, when the light comes in low across the wheat fields and turns everything amber. For couples getting married out here, the venue is the story. You’re not so much choosing a backdrop as marrying into one.
When Zili and Logan said the photos that mattered most were all our family and friends together and the small details — the flowers, the sunset — that’s exactly the kind of brief our documentary approach is built for. The day will move fast. We’ll be there to catch the parts you’ll want to remember, including the ones you don’t see happening in real time.

If you’re looking for a photographer who leans into the storytelling and the rolling-hills light of eastern Washington, we’d love to hear from you →.
